CARE INSTRUCTIONS & PRODUCT CARE POLICY

Effective Date: 18.03.21

Brand: SHEDA Garments Trading LLC

This Care Instructions & Product Care Policy applies to all products sold by SHEDA, including swimwear, resort wear, and accessories. It is intended to help preserve the quality, fit, color, and appearance of each item and forms part of the product use guidance provided to customers.

Our collections are made from carefully selected materials, including recycled swim fabrics, cotton, linen, viscose, and natural raffia. As with all premium garments and accessories, proper care is essential. Failure to follow the care instructions below may result in damage, fading, shrinkage, distortion, staining, or reduced product lifespan.

1. General Principle

All SHEDA products must be handled with care. Exposure to salt water, chlorinated water, direct sun, body oils, sunscreen, self-tanning products, heat, humidity, friction, and improper washing methods may affect the appearance and longevity of the product over time.

Natural wear, gradual softening, and minor changes in color or texture caused by normal use and environmental exposure are not considered manufacturing defects.

2. Swimwear Care Instructions

Our swimwear is made from premium stretch fabrics, including recycled nylon, recycled polyester, and elastane blends. To maintain the fabric’s elasticity, shape, and color, the following care rules apply:

•Hand wash only in cold water using a mild detergent

•Rinse immediately after use, especially after exposure to salt water, chlorine, sand, or sunscreen

•Do not soak for extended periods

•Do not bleach

•Do not tumble dry

•Do not iron

•Do not wring or twist

•Do not dry clean

•Dry flat or hang to dry in the shade

•Do not leave the garment wet, rolled up, or stored in a closed bag after use

•Avoid drying in direct sunlight or near strong heat sources

Important Swimwear Warning

Even where fabrics perform well under controlled textile testing conditions, repeated or prolonged real-life exposure to sea water, chlorinated water, UV light, heat, perspiration, body oils, and cosmetic products may lead to visible wear over time. This may include:

•fading

•slight change of shade

•loss of brightness

•reduced elasticity

•surface wear

•deformation caused by improper drying or storage

This risk may be more noticeable in light shades, pastel tones, and textured or ribbed fabrics, where visual change can appear sooner or more clearly than in darker or flat-surface fabrics.

Specific Use Guidance

Customers should rinse swimwear immediately after swimming. Failure to rinse promptly after use in sea water or chlorinated water may accelerate fading, fiber stress, and material deterioration. Damage caused or worsened by failure to follow this instruction will not be considered a product defect.

3. Cotton, Linen and Viscose Resort Wear

Our resort wear pieces are made from lightweight and delicate materials that require gentle care.

Unless otherwise stated on the garment label:

•Hand wash or machine wash on a gentle cycle at a maximum of 30°C

•Use mild detergent only

•Wash with similar colors

•Do not bleach

•Do not tumble dry unless the garment label expressly permits it

•Air dry naturally, away from direct sunlight

•Iron on low heat when needed

•Steam carefully if appropriate for the fabric

•Avoid excessive heat, which may shrink, weaken, or distort natural fibers

Fabric-Specific Note

Linen, cotton, and viscose are natural or delicate fibers and may naturally soften, relax, crease, or show slight texture variation through wear and washing. This is a normal characteristic of the fabric and is not considered a defect.

4. Raffia Hats and Bags

Our raffia accessories require dry care only.

•Do not wash

•Keep away from water, moisture, rain, and excessive humidity

•Do not soak

•Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth only

•Store in a dry, ventilated place

•Do not crush, fold, or place heavy objects on top of the item

•Preserve the original shape during storage

Natural variation in raffia texture, tone, and weave is part of the character of the material and is not considered a defect.

5. Contact with Surfaces and External Agents

To protect all SHEDA products:

•Avoid rough or abrasive surfaces, including rocks, pool edges, concrete, stone, pebbled finishes, metal hardware, and textured seating

•Avoid prolonged contact with oils, sunscreens, fake tan, makeup, perfume, and similar products

•Avoid hot tubs, spa baths, saunas, and highly chlorinated environments when wearing swimwear

•Avoid overstretching or pulling garments with force

•Avoid storing damp items without ventilation

Damage caused by abrasion, staining, chemical exposure, overheating, or improper storage is not considered a manufacturing defect.

6. Colour, Fading and Performance

Some SHEDA swim fabrics have undergone textile testing for properties such as colourfastness to washing, water, sea water, perspiration, chlorinated water, and light under controlled conditions. However, laboratory testing does not eliminate the possibility of wear, fading, or shade variation in real-use environments.

Actual performance depends on many factors, including:

•frequency of wear

•duration of swimming

•whether the garment was rinsed immediately after use

•level of sun and heat exposure

•chlorine concentration

•salt concentration

•contact with skincare or tanning products

•storage conditions after wear

For this reason:

•minor fading over time is not considered a defect

•visible wear resulting from repeated exposure is not considered a defect

•damage caused by failure to follow care instructions is not eligible as a quality claim

7. Product Assessment in Case of Complaint

Where a customer raises a concern regarding fabric condition, color, shape, elasticity, or general appearance, SHEDA reserves the right to assess:

•whether the care instructions were followed

•whether the item shows signs of normal wear

•whether the item was exposed to salt water, chlorine, direct sun, heat, cosmetics, or abrasive surfaces

•whether the issue relates to use, care, storage, or handling rather than production fault

Items showing signs of improper care, misuse, environmental damage, staining, fading from exposure, or normal wear and tear may be declined as defect claims.

8. Relationship with Returns and Claims

This Care Instructions & Product Care Policy should be read together with the SHEDA Returns Policy and Terms & Conditions.

For hygiene, fabric protection, and product integrity reasons, swimwear and delicate garments must be handled strictly in accordance with this policy. Non-compliance with these care instructions may affect eligibility for return, exchange, or quality-related review where the condition of the item has been altered after delivery.
